Businesses with LinkNYC kiosks in front of their stores in the Queens section of New York City have been using the advertising capabilities of LinkNYC to drive customer traffic and improve profits, according to the Queens Chronicle

Valerie Stevens, the director of business services at the Jamaica Center Business Improvement District, said walk-ins have increased at local businesses and improved the aesthetics on Jamaica Avenue.

Maria Delgado from Yvelisse Salon said her profits have increased since the placement of the kiosks. Delgado said the business had an ad on the LinkNYC screens, and have had fans send photos of the salon being promoted on the screens.

CityBridge, Intersection, Qualcomm and CIVIQ Smartscapes partnered to make the kiosks user-friendly with a touchscreen.
