Redbox plans to roughly triple the number of titles it offers in its new video-on-demand streaming service, known Redbox On Demand, which launched in December, according to Consumer Reports. The service is still in beta

Redbox introduced a subscription based streaming service in partnership with Verizon in 2013 which ended after one year.

The new streaming service is less like Netflix and more like the Apple iTunes and Vudu pay-per-view services.

Redbox also plans to expand its kiosk disc-rental business by offering 4K Blu-ray titles, including many with HDR later this year, officials said.

The company also introduced a new loyalty program called Redbox Perks that lets customers earn rewards toward rentals, purchases, and eventually, other items.
