Allpoint Network, a wholly owned subsidiary of Cardtronics, is approaching the 7,000 mark for ATM installations at Walgreens drugstores nationwide – including, for the first time, locations in Alaska, Michigan and Nebraska
A company press release said that the milestone caps a year of «significant growth» for the Allpoint surcharge-free ATM network at the Walgreens family of drugstores.
Since late 2016, Allpoint has added approximately 2,000 ATM locations with the chain in metropolitan areas across the nation, including Allpoint ATMs at Walgreens and Duane Reade stores in New York City, and at Walgreens stores in Chicago, the company said.
«Our Allpoint surcharge-free ATM network… is increasingly being embraced as the perfect cash access complement to the digital strategy of banks and credit unions of all sizes,» Brian Bailey, Cardtronics managing director for North America, said in the release.
Walgreens serves approximately 8 million customers a day through its 8,100 drugstores and its online store. The chain operates in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
