IGT to provide sports betting platform for newly regulated U.S. market

International Game Technology PLC will provide a FanDuel Group sports betting platform for the newly regulated U.S. market in the state of New Jersey, according to a press release

FanDuel will initially operate at Meadowlands Racetrack in East Rutherford, New Jersey, enabling guests to place sports bets over the counter via IGT technology. The offering will expand over the coming months to include self-service kiosks and other retail services, as well as FanDuel Sportsbook-branded online and mobile wagering, also using the IGT technology.

The partnership brings together IGT's technological expertise in U.S. sports betting with sports betting experience of FanDuel Group, a subsidiary of Paddy Power Betfair, an international sports betting and gaming operator.

FanDuel will leverage Paddy Power Betfair pricing, trading and risk management capabilities, which have been integrated into the IGT platform, along with a user interface. The joint solution operates under the FanDuel brand as FanDuel Sportsbook.
