Tech Association of Georgia names Banyan Hills Tech exec to 'Game Changers' list

The Technology Association of Georgia has named Steve Latham, founder and chief executive officer of Banyan Hills Technologies, to its 2018 «IoT/Cloud Technology: Georgia Game Changers list,» according to a press release. The list features innovators whose leadership is driving the Peach State's IoT/Cloud technology ecosystem to new heights

Latham received the honor for spearheading the release of Banyan's IoT platform, Canopy, accelerating disruptive innovation across a wide range of industries including self-service kiosks, self-storage, sports, entertainment, financial technology and unattended retail, according to the release. Canopy is an end-to-end IoT platform that can connect to any device, sub-system, and enterprise system for the purposes of enabling centralized monitoring and control of large networks. Performance data is visualized through a single intuitive interface, allowing operators to maintain visibility and make corrective actions remotely. With Canopy, businesses gain real-time data collection, automated operations and analytics.

In addition to his work at Banyan Hills Technologies, Latham is committed to helping accelerate innovations in the Greater Atlanta tech arena through his involvement in the Gwinnett County Chamber of Commerce and at Georgia State University. In the nonprofit sector, Banyan Hills Technologies has supported the Lanier Community Garden Project, a food bank gardening project maintained by volunteers, and Pride for Parents, a program designed to provide families the opportunity to shop during the holidays for gifts at reduced costs. The company also makes annual donations to a variety of charities for their employees' anniversary milestones, according to the release.
