Hiway Federal Credit Union, the official credit union of the Minnesota Wild NHL team, is treating fans at home games this season with an «Automated Prize Machine,» according to a press release.

Fans swipe a promotional card in the Hiway APM – a colorful machine that looks like an ATM – to win a variety of prizes, including team jerseys. The APM dispenses a receipt redeemable for a corresponding prize. Every receipt is a winner.

The machine made its debut at the Dec. 18 Minnesota Wild game, where more than 200 fans stood in line to take home a prize. The APM was so popular that all prizes were distributed by the beginning of the game's third period, the release said.

«We're overwhelmed by the initial response to the Hiway Automated Prize Machine,» Hiway President and CEO Dave Boden said in the release. «It's a great way for our credit union staff to engage with current and prospective customers and enhance the experience of attending a Minnesota Wild game.»

«Hiway is a tremendous Minnesota Wild teammate,» said Carin Anderson, Minnesota Wild vice president of corporate partnerships. «They understand the value of using our partnership to grow their brand and introduce their services to passionate Minnesota Wild fans. We're proud to work with such a creative, forward-thinking organization.»

The APM will be a fixture at Wild home games through the remainder of the season. There is no cost to play the interactive game, which is open to fans age 16 and older. Hiway also has prizes for younger hockey fans.

Hiway Federal Credit Union, a financial institution with $1.1 billion in assets, was founded in 1931 to serve employees of the Minnesota Highway Department. Today, Hiway serves more than 74,000 members in Minnesota and around the country.
