Sargent and Greenleaf, a manufacturer of mechanical and electronic locks, has introduced its newest centrally controlled, internet protocol safe lock, NexusIP.

NexusIP is a fully scalable solution that allows for real-time remote monitoring and control of one lock or a multilock network, according to a press release.

The solution uses existing Wi-Fi networks, eliminating the need for additional components and drilling. The lock also uses existing safe power connections, or its own external power source, to deliver consistent extended power with reduced interruption, the release said.

With the ability to assign up to four opening windows per day, per schedule, for up to 100 users via remote access control, NexusIP can be customized to fit a specific application.

«NexusIP combines easier installation and time lock management with dependable, ongoing operation without frequent service or downtime,» S&G Chief Operating Officer Keith Deaton said in the release. «Combining IP's ease of management and our digital platform, users are given a smarter, faster and more secure way to respond to their safe security needs without having to travel to the lock.»

The NexusIP is available in four bolt types: Model 3006-502 pivotbolt; Model 3007-502 direct drive; Model 3028-502 dead latching: and Model 3029-502 push/pull.
