Target Corp. is testing a self-service, grab-and-go concept that has customers pay for their items at a self-service kiosk called Snack Bar, according to the St. Paul/Minneapolis Business Journal.

The service is being tested at several of the company's stores, including a location northeast Minneapolis that features an Icee machine, items from Pizza Hut, popcorn, salads, beef jerky and other items.

In 2015, the company said several stores in the Twin Cities and Chicago would exchange their longstanding cafes – which sold many of the same items – with fast-casual concepts from Freshii and D'Amico & Sons. Freshii closed all of its Target sites in 2017.
