Fujifilm North America Corp. has launched its GetPix Quick photo kiosk, a platform designed specifically to allow retailers to offer photo printing from mobile devices without the need for cables or a dedicated app, according to a press release.
Building on the success of the previous iteration, GetPix Quick offers more capabilities to make printing photos on-the-go easier.
According to Keypoint Intelligence/Info Trends, over 1.2 trillion photos are taken every year, the majority of which with mobile devices. The GetPix Quick kiosk is a way for consumers to print images from their smartphones, allowing them to display and share special captured memories. Users upload their images to mygetpix.com and visit a GetPix Quick photo kiosk of their choosing. Once at the kiosk, they then enter the code received after uploading their images, and are ready to print their photos. Utilizing the Fujiflm ASK-300 dye sublimation printer, the GetPix Quick platform offers quality photos in a matter of seconds.
GetPix Quick prints photos in a variety of sizes including 4 by 6 inches, 5 by 7 inches and 6 by 8 inches. Users can pay with any major credit/debit card via Square and via Apple Pay and Google Pay.
