Most passengers at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol are satisfied with the recently installed self-service kiosks that allow them to look up flight information, check maps of the airport and view frequently asked questions and answers, according to customer surveys.

The kiosks were installed in June by Prestop and BIS Econocom, which developed and installed three kiosks made of steel and covered with HI-MACS, also known as Corian, according to a press release. Prestop built-in a 32-inch PCAP touchscreen and other hardware such as a barcode scanner, microphone, window speakers and webcam behind glass. Schiphol developed the software, which includes a video call option.

Passengers also have the option to contact Schiphol 24/7 via phone, email, chat apps and social media platforms.

A survey among the users showed over 95% were satisfied with the self-service points as of May.
