Des Moines airport installs check-in kiosks that print bag tags

The Des Moines Airport has installed new check-in kiosks to make check-in faster, according to a KCCI-TV report. Unlike the 12-year-old machines being replaced, the new kiosks print checked bag tags and eliminate the passenger's need to show their ID at the ticket counter.

A passenger can go directly to the kiosk, print their ticket and their checked bag tag, drop the bag and bypass the ticket agent. A bar above the touchscreen flashes green when it is available to use, and changes to blue when in use.
