Betson Enterprises, a distributor of vending and amusement equipment, is partnering with Vagabond to distribute Vagabond's suite of services, including Fixturelite self-checkout micro markets powered by Vagabond's «viv» commerce platform, according to a press release.

The Fixturelite Market, powered by the viv platform, does not require a checkout kiosk or tablet, resulting in lower operating expenses at just $10 per month for a market of any size. With the vīv platform, operators can offer a payment solution more secure than cash, swipe or EMV technology, according to the release. It can also directly engage consumers at a personal level, emailing about product specials and dynamically pricing products to reduce spoilage. Operators do not need to update payments hardware since consumers pay using their smartphones.

The vīv Fixturelite units are available in small, medium, medium-plus and large sizes, and come equipped with health-locked coolers, wooden shelving, baskets and LED lighting.

«Betson's decision to distribute vīv Fixturelite Markets speaks to our solutions' rock-solid reputation that continues to result in positive relationships with more and more convenience services operators,» Steve Orlando, Fixturelit co-founder, said in the release. «We're happy to help operators better compete and grab more market share of workplace consumer spending.»
