A hands-only CPR kiosk is available for free to the public at the Wakeman Boys & Girls Club in Bridgeport, Connecticut, according to a report by ctpost. The interactive machine, unveiled by Hartford HealthCare, features a rubber mannequin and touch screen, providing video lessons and real-time feedback on CPR performance.
«Out-of-hospital cardiac arrest can happen anywhere and at any time. We can't predict it and it doesn't happen like we see on TV. So we all need to be as prepared as we can be. If we just learn the simple steps, we can really save a life,» Lynette Coleman, a community director with the American Heart Association, told the news outlet.
The kiosk will be at the Wakeman Boys & Girls Club through the end of October before moving to other locations in Connecticut.
