Farmer's Fridge, which operates fresh food vending machines, has expanded to founder Luke Saunders' home town of St. Louis, according to a St. Louis Inno report.

The company stocks its refrigerated vending machines with its own wraps, bowls, salads, sandwiches, snacks and beverages. The company also offers home delivery and sells its branded products through select retailers.

The company will be expanding to 13 locations in St. Louis. There are currently two vending machines at Washington University, Saunders' alma mater, and one each at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and John J. Cochran Veterans Hospital.

Next week, it will begin serving nine locations at St. Louis Lambert International Airport.

The company has hired two local drivers and is seeking a third.

Saunders will be delivering a keynote presentation at the Self-Service Innovation Summit, Dec. 14-16 in Hollywood, Florida.
