The North Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles is installing kiosks in grocery stores as part of a pilot program. With these kiosks, residents can renew their license, change their address or update voter registration information, according to a report by ABC 11.

The DMV has placed these kiosks at The Corners in Raleigh, Highland Centre in Fayetteville and Riverbend Village in Charlotte. It plans to deploy an additional seven in the first half of 2024.

The machines will print out temporary licenses, with the official ones sent via mail at a later date.
