The Osterville Village Library in Barnstable, Massachusetts, has a new vending machine called The AutoLend Library. The machine holds 250 items, including books, DVDs and Wi-Fi hotspots, according to a WBUR.org report.

«Learning and reading and literacy is the key to the kingdom. It just opens so many doors and to have access to that wherever you are is really important,» Cyndy Cotton, executive director of the library, told the news outlet. «I know some places are cutting hours which limits accessibility. So having the opportunity for people to come when it's convenient for them is so important.»

The library is available 24/7 – including holidays and snow days.
