The A.M. Kulp Elementary School in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, recently deployed a book vending machine to award students for good behavior. Students who receive a cougar paw coin can purchase a book from the Inchy's Boomworm Vending Machine, according to a report by ABC 6.

Alyssa Nedorezov, librarian for the school, said that students love the machine. Students must go through a process to get coins, which includes following the school's good behavior system or being kind to others.

«The energy throughout the building has been electrifying...just every Friday when they get to find out who's getting the token to go and use it that week,» Nedorezov said in the report. «I've noticed that it increases the engagement for the students so we can tie into our positive behavior intervention system...be responsible, be positive and be respectful.»
