GivePay, a division of Fort Worth, Texas-based GivePay Commerce, has developed a gift card solution for retail ATMs. The GivePay Gift Card Mall brings kiosk-like functionality to existing retail ATMs, according to a press release

GivePay said it has a definitive agreement with Nautilus Hyosung to introduce the program; GenMega and Triton also have agreed to incorporate the gift mall application, which will be available in the second quarter.

«We're excited to be the first manufacturer to introduce the GivePay Gift Card Mall solution through Nautilus Hyosung ATMs,» said Jason Kuhn, vice president of product marketing and planning at Nautilus Hyosung America.

The application works by offering customers waiting for their cash to dispense at a participating ATM the opportunity to send a gift card via text or to make a payment on their wireless account.

The digital gift cards are sent in real time from enabled ATMs. Most cards can be saved by the recipient to a smartphone with Apple Wallet or Android Pay for easy storage and redemption, the release said.

GivePay Commerce will be exhibiting and demonstrating the gift card platform – which requires no purchased hardware or up-front cost – at the ATM Industry Association U.S. conference, Feb. 6-8, in Las Vegas.

«We're pleased to introduce an entirely new marketplace for ATM operators with GivePay,» GivePay CEO Jerry Jackson said in the release. «We believe adding GivePay will dramatically improve revenue and utility of participating ATMs while improving the overall value of owning an ATM portfolio.»
