As part of its enterprise experience, Android P, the next Android release, makes it possible to choose a selection of apps to enter in kiosk mode, according to androidpolice.com. It is no longer necessary to lock in a single app with kiosk mode

Android recently announced a beta version of Android P.

A dedicated launcher will show the user all apps available in kiosk mode, according to androidpolice.com. The ability to choose a selection of apps enables improved productivity, the report said.

Notifications and device settings can be hidden to prevent tinkering with the device while in kiosk mode, giving the deployer full control over what can be altered. Custom launchers previously had to be installed to achieve such functionality.
