Telemedicine/pharmacy kiosk arrives in Singapore

Singapore residents in need of medicine or medical advice can visit a telemedicine kiosk at Jalan Besar Stadium, headquarters of the Football Association of Singapore, according to a report in The Straight Times.

SmartRx, a provider of pharmacy vending machines, and Ninkatec, a health care group, partnered on the Charazoi Telemedicine Kiosk.

The kiosk consists of a vending machine that offers medications as well as an attached pod where patients can speak with Ninkatec's Charazoi Medical Clinic doctors virtually from 9 a.m. to Noon and from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

The medications include prescriptions and over-the-counter medications.
