Square, a financial services company, has introduced Square Kiosk, a self-serve ordering solution designed to alleviate staffing challenges in the hospitality industry, according to a Future Five Australia report.
The fully integrated software, hardware and payments system aims to enhance productivity by reducing queues and freeing staff to focus on other tasks.
Pasta Prego, a takeaway pasta bar in Melbourne, is among the early adopters of Square Kiosk. Co-Founders Lorenzo Fantarella and Isaac Varano praised the solution's positive impact on their business.
«Even though we've only recently implemented Square Kiosk, we've noticed a significant increase in consumer spend per transaction,» the founders told the news outlet. «Square Kiosk allows consumers to peruse our extensive menu with no time pressure, enabling them to select from our broad offering range.»
