MovieMax cinema launch includes 2K projection tech, self-service kiosks

MovieMax Cinemas has announced the grand opening of its latest three-screen multiplex at Mariplex Mall in Kalyani Nagar, Pune, according to a press release.

The location is the second MovieMax location in Pune and is part of the brand's broader expansion strategy. The multiplex is equipped with 2K projection technology and Dolby 7.1 Surround Sound.

MovieMax Cinemas, part of the Kanakia Group, is operated by Cineline India Limited, with 21 cinemas currently active across 14 Indian cities.

The multiplex features digital kiosks for self-service ticket bookings. Food options include pizza, nachos, popcorn, wok-inspired dishes, and healthy options. Dynamic wall designs feature iconic film imagery, and the theater includes interactive selfie corners to boost engagement.
