Piraeus, a Greek financial services company, announced it will migrate its fleet of more than 1,200 ATMs to Diebold Nixdorf's DN Series of cash recycling ATMs. With this service, the bank aims to move transactions away from the branch to its self-service channel as part of its overall branch transformation strategy, according to a press release.
With these ATMs, the bank will be able to cut down on cash transportation costs and in turn cut down on carbon emissions. The bank will also provide NFC payment across its fleet of ATMs.
The DN Series are powered by the DN AllConnect Data Engine, which uses AI to identify impending failure, trigger service calls and reduce down time.
«We are committed to continuously improving the experience we offer to our customers. By adopting a proven cash recycling technology across all our branches, we aim to offer a higher service level to our customers while at the same time improving operational efficiency,» Harry Margaritis, group operating officer at Piraeus, said in the release.
