The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government has launched a self-service kiosk in Foshan, Guangdong Province, to make accessing Hong Kong public services easier for residents and businesses in the Greater Bay Area, according to a Bastille Post Global report.

This kiosk, located in the Foshan Nanhai District Administrative Service Center, joins similar kiosks already operating in Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Zhuhai. It allows users to access 70 different public services from 11 government departments, including:

  • Taxation.
  • Company registration.
  • Property and vehicle inquiries.
  • Applying for ID documents.
  • Welfare and education services.
  • Healthcare.
  • Immigration clearance.
  • Culture and tourism.

Users can complete applications, scan documents and print results directly at the kiosk.

Additionally, a separate «iAM Smart» self-registration kiosk is available for Hong Kong residents living and working in Mainland China. This kiosk allows them to register for or upgrade to «iAM Smart+,» a program that enables access to online public services.

This initiative is part of a broader effort by the HKSAR Government and Guangdong Province to promote cross-boundary public services in the GBA. The goal is to make it simpler and more convenient for residents and businesses to access services across the border.
