A smart medical kiosk system was launched at Da Nang Hospital in Vietnam this week, aiming to streamline patient registration and improve overall efficiency, according to a Da Nang online report.
The kiosks allow patients to register for medical examinations and treatments using their citizen identification cards or VNeID accounts, eliminating the need for traditional queue numbers. Facial recognition technology further simplifies the process, allowing patients to quickly log in and complete registration.
«As before, I had to wait to get a queue number and have my name called to do the examination procedure. Now, it takes only one minute to log in and implement facial authentication to complete the registration procedures,» Pham Viet Vuong, a patient from Gia Lai Province, told the news outlet.
The system also enables cashless payments, reducing wait times and improving the overall patient experience.
