The Cameron County, Texas Office of Emergency Management has installed contactless, facial temperature check kiosks for county facilities used by the public, according to a press release.

The kiosks will allow visitors and employees to check their temperatures when entering county buildings to determine if they can have access to the building. The kiosks have a thermal camera and direct users to wear a face mask while being screened.

«Among the measures in place to try to ensure COVID-19 doesn't spread in our community are temperature checks, and this measure will determine if you are eligible to enter a county building, therefore ensuring that all constituents and employees when in a county building are safe,» Cameron County Judge Eddie Trevino Jr. said in the press release.
