The visitor center at the Vallede Oro National Wildlife Refuge, an island refuge in the South Valley, New Mexico, will offer three digital interactive displays provided by Ideum, an interactive design firm, according to a company announcement.

One display utilizes a 43-inch multitouch inline display to present interactive artwork and an exploration of the refuge's history.

The second display presents the changing Rio Grande in pixelated art format on an LED panel, hidden behind a cloth overlay, while the third presents stories from refuge friends via an inline touchscreen and handheld listening devices.

In addition, the island will feature a display cabinet for objects, as well as a large whiteboard through which visitors can share their thoughts with the refuge and other guests.

The island will also feature a large mechanical artwork, in which sliders and gears will present the effects people can have on wildlife in their own backyards.
