Bitcoin ATMs come to Mississippi

The Bonita Chevron gas station on Highway 19 in Meridian, Mississippi, recently installed its first Bitcoin ATM. With the cryptocurrency ATM, residents of Meridian can buy, sell and exchange Bitcoin currency without involving the bank or the government, according to a report on WTOK.

Chevron Supervisor Tyler Fitzgerald said he wanted to bring Bitcoin to people's attention and believes this machine will be convenient for the public since a wide range of companies within the area now accept digital currency as a method of payment.

Residents with digital wallets may utilize the machine to buy either Bitcoin or the seven other cryptocurrencies it offers.
